AWARDS

In 2017, I had the incredible honor of winning an award for the locations of the series "The Night Manager" in the category of "Outstanding Locations in a Contemporary TV Series". This prestigious recognition highlighted the hard work and dedication that went into finding the perfect settings to bring the series to life. To accept this esteemed award, I traveled to Los Angeles, where I attended a glamorous gala. It was a memorable evening, filled with industry professionals and fellow creatives, celebrating the best in television. The experience was not only a personal achievement but also a testament to the importance of location in storytelling.

The award was presented by the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI), an organization that brings significant value to the work of location managers. The LMGI is dedicated to supporting and promoting the interests of location professionals within the entertainment industry. Their mission includes recognizing and honoring the vital role that location managers play in the production process, often an underappreciated aspect of filmmaking and television production.

Through their annual awards, the LMGI shines a spotlight on the creativity, problem-solving skills, and logistical expertise required to scout, secure, and manage filming locations. By doing so, they help elevate the profile of the location department, acknowledging it as an essential contributor to the visual storytelling and overall success of any production. The LMGI's efforts help ensure that the hard work of location managers receives the recognition and respect it deserves, highlighting the significant impact that thoughtfully chosen and well-managed locations have on the authenticity and atmosphere of a story.
